...beauty will save the world...
ILIA FROM LOZZO
PORTRAIT ARTIST
Rebellion, research and reconnection with one's identity.
These are the three inseparable elements that make Ilia Da Lozzo a photographer of the soul, a "RitrARtist," as she calls herself. The path of the Pordenone-born artist (Sacile, 1977) stems from the imaginative aesthetic instilled, drop by drop, in a child Ilia, dedicated to immortalizing visions, gazes, and bodies, later liberated by a more mature Ilia, placed behind the camera lens. Her works blend visceral portraits, composed of unconscious narratives that reveal the multiple internal labyrinths of the human dimension, in which one can lose or find oneself through simple representations, free of convoluted structural draperies.
My Story as a Portrait Artist
Hi everyone, I'm Ilia, a "RitrARtistA." "RitrARtistA" is a fusion of "Ritrattista" and "Artista" (Portrait Artist) and reflects my soul-searching journey through the lens, uniting portraiture—the tradition of telling the story of the individual—and art, that free expression that goes beyond mere technique. It's my way of seeing the world, exploring and capturing what lies hidden in details, glances, and silences. It's the search for beauty and meaning in every face I photograph, but also the freedom to express every emotion and thought that person inspires in me, through my lens. It's an act of creation; it's photography that moves!
